What's a Blog All About?

Hi,

My name is Orfie and I just magically created my very own blog. God I love the internet! The title of this blog may lead you to believe that I don't know what a blog is. Technically I know what a blog is...some are used to share interesting or important information, while others are used for personal use - be it an aspiring writer looking to attract a following, or someone who is pissed off about something in general or something specific. Some people even blog for a living or as part of their job. Seems like a pretty cool job...writing stuff in exchange for money? Where do I sign up?

The question "what's this blog all about?" is more of a rhetorical question to myself. What do I want to accomplish with this blog? Whatever it is, I hope people will read it and more importantly I hope people will enjoy it.

Since this is my first attempt at blogging let me tell you a little bit about who I am.

Age: 37 (10 days to being 38)
Sex: Female
Location: Chicago Suburbs
Kids: yes, 2
Pets: yes, 1 dog
Occupation: another layoff statistic, formerly a recruiter for graphic/web designers
Marital Status: 10 years and counting
Vocabulary: limited to four-letter words (or what I like to call "colorful adjectives"

Why would anyone want to read this? I have no idea, but as it develops maybe we'll both figure that one out. For now, thanks for stopping by.
